Why We Love To Travel
Muslims around the world are travelling more as increasingly more hotels are providing halal accommodation and food. Why we love to travel; there are many reasons, some of which we have mentioned in this article.
It is Allah who made for you the earth a place of settlement and the sky a ceiling and formed you and perfected your forms and provided you with good things. That is Allah, your Lord; then blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds.
We should appreciate the blessings Allah (SWT) has given us, and learn from His signs and all that He has created; reflect and take lessons.
The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and other Prophets (AS) have also
Mosques & Ancient Landmarks
Muslims love to travel to visit the beautiful Mosques around the world like the Sultan Ahmed in Turkey, Masjid An Nabawi in Medina, The Grand Holy Mosque in Makkah, Faisal Mosque in Pakistan and many others around the world.
There are many ancient places that Islam reflects upon such as the Egyptian pyramids of Pharaoh, the remains of the People of Aad and Thamud who built huge and tall houses carved in mountains; these are places for the Muslims to witness and ponder upon.

Learn Something New
Why we love to travel; To learn a new language or experience new cuisine, culture, customs. Every country, every city and place has something unique or mesmerising to teach their visitors. When meeting new people from around the world, you absorb interesting stories about their lives, make new friends and many new memories.
We all need time and the space to be still, relax our minds, to think about life and reconnect with Allah. Furthermore, we need to consider all the good and bad experiences in our lives and how to become a better person by following the commands of Allah. Travelling will give you a sense of satisfaction and appreciation for your own home or hometown. At the end of the day, we know there is no place like home.
Build Family Ties
With today’s technology, we are able to talk to most relatives or family members abroad through mobile or video calls, but travelling to visit them in person; you can’t beat surprising your loved ones with your presence, its one way to make them happy and keep kinship and strong family bonds.

Expand Your Outlook
Most of us live our daily lives in our small circle, maybe only knowing one area or place. Travelling can expand our outlook to experience how others live with the realities they face. Travelling will open your mind to discover and consider fresh ideas which you may not have considered before. You will return home with a different perspective, notions and possibilities.
The Land Will Testify
Travelling for a break or holiday does not mean we take a break from our religion. We are still supposed to be mindful of our identity as Muslims wherever we travel. Pray and remember Allah all the time as the Prophet (SAW) said:
“The (whole) earth has been made a mosque (or a place of prayer) and a means of purification for me, so wherever a man of my ummah may be when the time for prayer comes, let him pray.”
Consequently, the Prophet (SAW) he used to offer his prayers wherever they were due. He also said:
If a person prays on a piece of land on the day of resurrection that piece of land will testify for him that he prayed on it.
